Based on our e-receipt panel, Pokémon GO has consistently generated the highest number of in-app transactions each quarter since its launch in 2016. While newer entries like Pokémon Unite and Pokémon TCG Pocket saw bursts of activity after launch, their momentum quickly tapered off.
To make the comparison fair, we indexed each title’s receipt volume against GO’s launch quarter (Q3 2016 = 100). This makes clear how far the others stand from GO’s original scale.

Pokémon TCG Pocket peaked at around ~20% of Pokémon GO’s benchmark, while Pokémon Unite never crossed the 10% mark, highlighting the fact that Pokémon GO’s early lead in user base and its location-based limited-time events gave it a competitive edge that’s hard to replicate.

We also looked at average order value (AOV) on iOS App Store:

- Pokémon Sleep leads with the highest average order value (AOV) among all titles in Q1 2025, despite its relatively low transaction volume.
- Pokémon Masters EX shows fluctuation but maintains mid-tier AOV performance.
- Pokémon TCG Pocket stays solid with high AOVs, while Pokémon GO and Pokémon Unite remain consistent at the lower end.

Digging deeper into item-level purchases in Pokémon TCG Pocket, we analyzed six multilingual bundles and grouped them into three major character-themed offerings on Android side:

The Gardevoir Bundle led the pack in popularity, followed closely by the Sinnoh League Champion — Cynthia Bundle. Despite Mewtwo’s legendary status, its themed bundle ranked lowest — possibly due to release timing or packaging format. This highlights how character loyalty can significantly influence in-game purchasing behavior.
